We made cloud/rainbow cupcakes...
I just love the simpleness of these cupcakes. Someone said the frosting even tasted like clouds. I love homemade frosting. The cake part was the rainbow chip from a box.
The candy rainbows on top are these Air Heads Xtremes strips. Let me tell ya, these were hard to find this time around. I made these same cupcakes in December for the day of his birthday, and I was able to just pick the candy up at the local Wal, but they were out for several days. Finally, the day before the party I decided it was time to start checking other stores. We went to 3 stores before we finally found some.
Some friends at the party. Everyone was just excited to go swimming.
He was pretty excited too.
Present time!
One of the few games we had was a bubble gum guessing game. April sorted all the bubblegum balls so we could layer them in rainbow colors in the jar.
Then, we had the kids guess how many were in the jar.
Then it was time to swim!
Somehow this boy got a ton of Legos for gifts. It's awesome because that is what he really wanted. What's even more amazing is that he got all 3 of the same Lego City Jungle set from 3 different friends. Thankfully they were all different parts of the Jungle set, so it was perfect.
No time was wasted between party and Lego building time.
This was a good year for him, and thanks to all his friends for coming, and for the great gifts big and small!
I am linking this up to Blogging Through the Alphabet at Hopkins Homeschool.
Aww...looks like a fun birthday!
